This prepares your muscles for maximum performance.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"6\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Nutritionists, on the other hand, argue that while this is true, the creatine loading phase is not particularly necessary and may cause unpleasant side effects for some people.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"7\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">So what&#8217;s a creatine supplement avid user to do? The answer is surprisingly simple.<\/p>\n<h2 data-node-id=\"8\" class=\"body-h3 css-7cyxa emevuu60\">How creatine loading works<\/h2>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"9\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\"><strong data-node-id=\"9.0\">not slowly<\/strong> Increasing the amount of creatine in the body creates a load and speeds up the process.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"10\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">It&#8217;s not like your body is completely new to this compound. Although not statistically significant, the trend toward higher frequency and severity of symptoms in the loading group suggests a possible dose-dependent effect.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"18\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">So there it is.<\/p>\n<h2 data-node-id=\"19\" class=\"body-h3 css-7cyxa emevuu60\">Should I take creatine?<\/h2>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"20\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\"><strong data-node-id=\"20.0\">It&#8217;s really exciting<\/strong> To you.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"21\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">&#8220;For most people, it&#8217;s fine to skip the loading dose and just stick with 3 to 5 grams per day (or 10 grams per day if you&#8217;re so inclined),&#8221; says Brian St. Pierre, R.D., CSCS. <em data-node-id=\"21.3\">men&#8217;s health<\/em> Nutritional advisor. &#8220;It takes about three to four weeks to reach full saturation. At four weeks, there is no difference between the protocols.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"22\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">If you&#8217;re looking for an even simpler answer: &#8220;Unless you have specific immediate performance goals, it&#8217;s usually a good idea to skip loading.
